We are looking for a Senior Advisor – Enterprise Architecture – for Americas/EMEA region to focus on the standardization of the architecture across the Expansion Projects, Studies and in the region portfolio, ensuring the “right technology” is selected for the right business outcomes; to reduce complexity, increase organizational agility and drive competitive advantage in this space.

Also, to update the reference architecture and standards, accordingly to the new technical capabilities that documented Business Capabilities require.

Reporting to the Manager Strategy & Architecture Americas/EMEA, and working in challenging and exciting environment within our global Enterprise Architecture Team, you will:

  • Work with relevant Information Systems & Technology (IS&T), Engineering, Procurement, Construction and Management (EPCM) and business stakeholders to provide high level advice regarding compliance between business strategies, enterprise transformation activities and technology directions, setting strategies, policies, standards and practices
  • Develop and own the IS&T reference architecture (Mine in a Box) for new mines, by working with and coordinating various teams in this space.
  • Review and provide Enterprise Architecture (EA) direction and guidance across the dedicated EAs within the major Programs of work inside the portfolio.
  • Define and enforce architecture principles and standards through active participation in Coaching reviews and Architecture Review Board.
  • Provide leadership and mentoring to more junior members of the Enterprise Architecture team.
  • Exhibit high level of emotional intelligence, soft skills, empathy and confidence in all dealings and act as a trusted advisor to build and maintain relationships with business partners to develop a clear understanding of business needs and opportunities for technology solution advancements/improvements.
  • Be intimate with the advancements and emerging technologies within your domain, routinely publish points of view and rally sponsorship by actionable business cases that are socialized with business and IS&T leadership.
  • Identify opportunities to standardize technology landscape for improved efficiency, effectiveness, and risk management, and increased business responsiveness.

What you’ll bring

  • Proven experience in a variety of Information Technology (IT) roles focused on delivery, operational excellence, engineering and/or architecture.
  • Architecture experience in at least three of the following IT disciplines (Enterprise applications, Integration, Network, Data, Infrastructure, Cloud and operations) in a large corporate or equivalent consulting environment.
  • Expert level experience in domain with fluency in emerging technologies.
  • Demonstrated ability to balance long-term (“big-picture”) and short-term implications of architecture decisions.
  • Demonstrated experience influencing key decision makers or senior executives in a large, cross-functional team setting, using your soft skills in the right way
  • Previous experience with delivering strategy, roadmaps, reference architecture and standards; experience in development of business cases.
  • Direct experience in solution architecture role for given domain, with measurable results.
  • TOGAF or equivalent

It will also be beneficial if you have:

  • “End to End” architecture experience within a Mining or similar (like Oil industry) projects.
  • Experience in SAFe would be a great asset
