The Finance – Procurement team is part of the Integrated Supply Chain (ISC) Finance team providing direct support to the Procurement team to drive the development of forecasting and planning, financial reporting, productivity and KPI’s reporting in order to help Weston Foods achieve its financial targets.

Reporting to the Director, ISC Finance, you will be responsible for providing support and in-depth financial analysis for a variety of activities in a timely manner.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Work closely with the Treasury-Commodities team and Procurement sourcing leads to understand commodity impacts, forecasts and coverage to understand business results and update forecasts
• Prepare period end cost management/KPI reports and analysis working with contacts across the Finance ISC team and the Procurement team
• Assist in the analysis and preparation of budgeting & planning of materials costs (ingredients, commodities and packaging), indirect spends including energy and fuel requirements for Supply Chain
• Work closely with the Procurement sourcing leads to validate productivity projects and provide support on how to analyze productivity;
• Research and provide market perspective to support inflation/deflation impacts in the business
• Assist in the preparation of periodic PowerPoint presentations for Senior Leadership; and
• Other ad hoc projects and reports to support the Procurement, Treasury-Commodities and Finance department as required

ABOUT YOU:

• University Degree preferably in Business/Economics/Accounting or related field
• 3-5 years relevant experience in an analyst capacity
• Advanced Excel skills, including experience developing and running financial models
• Exceptional knowledge of Windows & Microsoft Office Suite (Access experience would be an asset)
• Proven experience translating raw data into analytical models to support decision making
• Strong problem solving skills with a high level of analytical ability
• Strong attention to detail and highly organized
• Strong written/oral communication and time management skills
• Looking to grow and expand in a fast-paced, strategic and decision-oriented organization
