What you’ll do

It’s safe to say, there’s no shortage of variety in what we do. Here are some key responsibilities of the role:

  • This position is responsible for guiding the development and implementation of new operational and technical system applications and programs in accordance with TJXC Finance’s business requirements. This position is also accountable for leading the Finance SMEs through systems changes and maintenance including UAT and Training, coordinating with global teams as needed
  • Coordinate and prepare Finance resources for the execution of multiple IT projects and ongoing initiatives throughout Finance
  • Responsible for creating and maintaining project documentation throughout all phases of projects/initiatives
  • Proactively identify and facilitate resolution of issues within projects by creating awareness and involving Finance and IT project management in resolutions discussions where necessary
  • Seek, capture and report metrics on project progress and impact

What you’ll need

To begin your career with us, you’ll have:

  • General knowledge of / previous experience with project and change management, including structured project methodology, understanding and applying principles of project control, preparing and maintaining detailed project plans. Lean/Agile methodology exposure/experience is an asset
  • Demonstrated interpersonal and communication skills; ability to read, write, communicate and interpret information accurately; able to develop and build relationships with internal and external partners / team members; customer service skills including efficiently and effectively responding to inquires or resolving any conflicts or problems that might arise
  • Strong computer skills including spreadsheets, diagraming, presentation and e-mail applications; knowledge of accounting software; procurement/payment applications; databases; and data manipulation tools
  • Awareness of finance functions including a basic knowledge of accounting including the ability to interpret and apply general ledgers, stock ledgers, assets and liabilities, and credits and debits; awareness of the Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and Generally Accepted Auditing Standards (GAAS); an understanding of the Company’s policies and practices
