Background:
Our valued clients are the leading company in delivering next generation in innovated solution services. Our clients are currently working on delivering cloud bases solutions to their clients in the Canadian Healthcare space and are looking to bring on a Senior Health Information Consultant. The Health Information Technology (HIT) Consultant is responsible for providing subject matter expertise regarding healthcare technology standards, along with an understanding of healthcare delivery processes. The HIT Consultant will help with the sales and delivery of healthcare projects.
Key Qualifications include:
- Fundamental understanding of healthcare standards (FHIR, HL7, LOINC, ICD, CCD, CCA, HIPAA. etc.)
- Understanding of the actors and processes of healthcare delivery (providers, patients, payors, government agencies)
- Familiarity with health information exchange standards and technologies
- Familiarity with leading electronic medical record and hospital information systems (Epic, Cerner, Allscripts, etc.)
- Familiarity with the Personal Health Information Privacy Act (PHIPA).
- Experience working with Provincial or Federal agencies
- Experience with Ontario regulations and privacy authorities, in particular PHIPA (Personal Health Information Privacy Act) and the role of the Information and Privacy Commissioner.
- Project Management Professional certification
- HIT Certification(s) such as CPHIMS, RHIA, HL7, etc.
- 5+ Years of experience working with Healthcare Payor, Medicaid, or Clinical systems
- Electronic Health Record (EHR) certification(s) and implementation experience
Tasks may include:
- Acting as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) working with clients, stakeholders and project team members to deliver solutions that follow today standards in Healthcare policy
- Act as liaison between clients and internal team members working on projects
- Provide support in health data mapping and transformation
- Apply industry knowledge of Healthcare information exchange technology
