The Release Change Management (RCM) team is responsible for reviewing and implementing code changes to locked environments across the bank. Together with your development, application support, and change management colleagues the vision is to deliver timely application changes that comply with bank standards and policies.
We are seeking a Senior Information Security Analyst who will play an important part in the team, and help the team meet the needs of our partners. As a Senior Analyst, you will be responsible for supporting the achievement of the Bank’s information security objectives of integrity, confidentiality/ privacy, availability and continuity, and the delivery of Scotia Service. You will be expected to support and uphold the Bank’s application change control standards.

In this role you will:
- Ensure only authorized changes within Bank approved policies/matrices are accepted and implemented, while ensuring that all audit controls are met. This includes the maintenance of internal procedural manuals and matrices.
- Provide responsive 2nd level technical support to meet departmental service targets for complex problems relating to assigned code release issues and their components. Tasks required may include testing, troubleshooting, and identifying the need for new policies and/or procedures to prevent, eliminate or minimize a reoccurrence of any problems.
- Provide user consultation and technical support with intermediate technical knowledge for internal and external project activities.
- Use the code release processes and procedures to develop and recommend improvements. You will initiate and participate in reviews of these processes and procedures with the intention of developing automation and /or streamlining existing procedures and eliminating unnecessary procedures.
- Make recommendations for the investigation and implementation of new features or products that would enhance the change control environments. You will review and test changes to code release-related software ensuring the appropriateness and functionality of the control features.
- Contribute to the achievement of the department’s service commitments and team objectives, ensuring that the user community receives quality service by consistently understanding customer needs and providing solutions that meet or exceed their expectations.
- Participate in a regular pager support rotation for scheduled production activities which could include after hours and weekends.
Do you have the skills that will enable you to succeed in this role?
We are looking for candidates with following skills:
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Spanish fluency would be an asset
- Strong organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple complex initiatives simultaneously.
- Exercise operational capabilities, security risk avoidance capabilities, and an awareness of associated business risks.
- Experience with the following technical skills:
- Unix/Solaris/Linux/RedHat
- Windows NT/2000
- Databases – Sybase, Oracle, and Microsoft SQL databases
- MVS Mainframe and TANDEM
- Experience with industry leading source code management and release management tools
- Experience with confidential investigations
- Information Security-specific certifications would be considered an asset(s)
