We’re looking for a kick-ass Senior Information Security Manager to join our Development Team and help us take things to the next level.

Position Summary

We are looking for someone to lead Information Security experts as they develop and manage strategies, programs, tools, frameworks and policies as well as provide specialized oversight, control and governance. Both your influence and exposure to executives and various groups enterprise-wide will allow you to expand your efforts to minimize overall technology risks.

Responsibilities

  • Assist the CISO in managing the overall information security program.
  • Ensure that technology platforms and solutions are engineered to meet security requirements
  • Ensure technology, processes and governance are in place to monitor, detect, prevent, and react to security threats
  • Perform vulnerability assessments, coordinate the execution of these within the corporate context, as well as oversee the remediation activities associated with vulnerability/risk findings
  • Adhere to and advise on, oversee, monitor, enforce enterprise frameworks and methodologies that relate to technology controls / information security activities.
  • Delivering regular reporting on the information security risk program to the information security management committee.
  • Develop security standards and best practices for the organization
  • Monitor the organization’s networks for security breaches and investigate a violation should one occur
  • Assist in the development and enforcement of departmental and corporate policies and procedures associated with privacy, information security and access controls based on industry best practice and managerial direction
  • Creating, testing and implementing network disaster recovery plans
  • Provide recommendations to improve overall security posture and compliance to senior executives
  • Training staff on network and information security procedures, and monitoring engagement and competence
  • Prepare executive reporting based on Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), Key Risk Indicators (KRIs), reports and scorecards
  • Maintain and improve security certifications, including SOC2 & ISO27001
  • Ensure authorized access by investigating improper access; revoking access; reporting violations; monitoring information requests by new programming; recommending improvements.
  • Establish computer and physical security by developing standards, policies, and procedures; coordinating with facilities security; recommending improvements.
  • Develop security awareness by providing orientation, educational programs, and on-going communication to organization.

Skills and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science or 10+ years of relevant experience
  • CISSP or CISM Certification is required. CISA and CRISC certification is an asset.
  • 2-3 years of security experience specific to cloud environments, such as Azure and AWS.
  • Experience with advanced cyber security tools, network topologies, intrusion detection, PKI, and secured networks
  • Experience across various security, compliance, regulatory and common control frameworks (NIST, ISO, GDPR, etc.) and risk frameworks/methodologies (NIST, SOC 2, etc.) as they relate to cloud services.
  • Ability to work independently and with limited supervision
  • Excellent verbal communication skills
  • Outstanding written skills for preparing reports and briefings
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills

  • Excellent communication skills and ability to represent CISO in interactions with senior executives and clients.
  • Excellent interpersonal, organizational and people management skills.
