The Client Experience Office (CXO) is home to a talented team of marketers, business and process owners. Within our Client Connect Pods, we turn raw ideas into real campaigns using a self-contained, self-governing group of experts who crave results.

As the Sr. Marketing Strategist, you are at the forefront of Pod (team) workflow’s idea generation. You will use data to create a hypothesis, communicate the strategy and tactics to stakeholders, and drive the concept to market. You will steer analytics and insights to covert raw results into impact statements, concluding one idea while catalyzing another.

As a senior leader within the Pod, your work directly shapes Pod capacity and business goal achievement. Throughout delivery, you will actively manage stakeholder expectations (timelines, target setting, performance optimization, and impact reports), pivoting delivery to maximize value creation.

What will you do?
Business Management

  • Design campaign strategies that drive the business and member engagement metrics
  • Support development of Epic readiness (key strategy) packages, prepare quarterly and annual business reviews
  • Report results and elevate to impact statements (key drivers, key actions)

Performance Marketing

  • Champion a continuous improvement mindset across all marketing and client engagement performance levers (copy, design, capabilities, data linkages, UX, targeting)
  • Implement Behavioural Economic principles to deliver a strong A/B pipeline

Marketing Delivery & Flawless Execution

  • Drive end-to-end delivery (ideation to execution) of client engagement campaigns across email, web, mobile, and call centre by leveraging data to create optimized target segments
  • Manage, create (copy write, build in AEM) and curate marketing content through Creative Design and UX Design teams

Leadership

  • Lead and live your work with an Owner’s Mindset (believe that your ideas and contributions matter)
  • Champion the agile process (data-informed strategies that create unique Client and Organizational value) across partners network

What do you need to succeed?

  • 6 years of Tier 1 marketing experience (Mass, Digital, Targeted)
  • Analytical and problem solving skills
  • Communication skills (campaign briefing, post-campaign presentations & reporting)
  • Experience leading through influence
  • Experience owning or contributing towards a P&L
  • Familiar with AEM (Adobe Experience Manager), Tableau, and Wrike
  • Familiar with Agile Marketing principles

The Base Pay range is for the primary location for which the job is posted. It may vary depending on the work location of the successful candidate or other factors. In addition to Base Pay, eligible Sun Life employees participate in various incentive plans, payment under which is discretionary and subject to individual and company performance. Certain sales focused roles have sales incentive plans based on individual or group sales results.
