Banking solutions are evolving rapidly at the Bank in a real-time, cloud-based ecosystem based on business APIs. As Financial Markets Domain Architect, you’ll be a key player in this transformation.

Your role:

• Compile the strategy, business issues, and operational reality to transpose these aspects into architecture targets and propose plans to support the completion of activities
• Develop and maintain business capability mapping for Financial Markets, in collaboration with business lines and data governance
• Maintain the target architecture and roadmap for IT ecosystems
• Provide project support while ensuring that the solutions implemented comply with the Bank’s architecture guidelines
• Identify potential relationships and synergies between various projects
• Ensure the sound evolution of the applications portfolio: obsolescence, technical debt, simplification of the overall IT ecosystem
• Monitor and keep abreast of business and IT trends and best practices
• Act as a resource person and offer expertise and advice to stakeholders

• Completed bachelor’s degree in a related field and 10 years of relevant experience, or completed master’s degree in a related field and 8 years of relevant experience
• Experience as a Senior Architect delivering several major projects in a large company
• Good knowledge of the investment industry (brokerage/trading/back-office, distribution and manufacturing of GICs/mutual funds, trust services) and the integration of multichannel brokerage capabilities
• In-depth knowledge of concepts, technology, and solutions related to a modern digital ecosystem (Microservices, API, streaming, security, elasticity, PaaS, Cloud SaaS, DevOps, etc.)
• AWS Cloud Architect certification, an asset
• Natural leader, influencer, innovator, and communicator
• Client-centric
• Strong analytical and summarizing skills, and the ability to explain complex concepts
• Innovative and capable of rethinking/redefining working methods
• Excellent spoken and written communication skills
• Ability to lead and influence meetings
• Political skills and ability to influence senior management
• Bilingualism, both spoken and written (English and French)
