THE ROLE

As an Android Software Developer on the last minute hotels team, you will contribute to building an emerging product that impacts millions of users. Over the last year, many travelers have grown accustomed to booking hotels at the last minute. We are working to build a world-class product to provide the best deals to these users and help them get away without the hassle! As part of the team, you will help drive the product direction, making sure we solve the right user problems and find new and innovative ways to delight our customers. You will collaborate with a team of talented developers, product managers, and data scientists to break down complex problems, and experiment with new ideas quickly.

Day to day, your work may range from building prototypes and new product features, to iterating on and applying the latest UI frameworks to optimize the user experience.

IN THIS ROLE, YOU WILL:

• Collaborate with a team of talented engineers to develop innovative solutions to challenging, impactful technical problems
• Build innovative user experiences, setting standards for code and performance
• Contribute to feature implementation in our mobile Android app (Kotlin)
• Execute on big opportunities, helping Hopper rise to the top of the travel industry

AN IDEAL CANDIDATE HAS:

• A passion for building engaging user experiences
• Experience making significant contributions on Android
• A passionate focus on quality, writing testable code that performs well for our users
• A desire to help the team continuously improve
• At least 2 years of professional software development experience
