Job title: Sr. Business Analyst with capital markets experience to assist with elicitation/collaboration, requirements analysis/design definition, and strategic analysis/business architecture
Job description: Our valued client is seeking a highly experienced Senior Business Analyst with business knowledge of capital markets regulatory oversight and market surveillance operations for a one-year contract.
The Business Analyst will be responsible for:
1. Elicitation and collaboration
- Work directly with the business SME’s and stakeholders from across Canada, as well as interact with internal resources and vendors
- Initiate, lead and facilitate sessions with varied stakeholders to determine requirements for requirements for configuration or development of a COTS product
- Problem-solve information system solutions for business process change strategies
2. Requirement analysis and design definition
- Document and organize requirements using a variety of artefacts and tools
- Model requirements and designs
- Validate information
- Identify system design solutions that address business needs
- Assess the potential value gained by enhancing or remediating the Capital Markets market analysis platform
- Collaborate with technical team to evaluate solution design
3. Strategic analysis/business architecture
- Create multidimensional business views of the client’s: •
- Capabilities
- End?to?end value delivery
- Information flows
- Organizational structure
- Relationships among these business views and strategies, products, policies, initiatives, and stakeholders
Must Have:
- University Degree in Business, Information System, or related discipline
- 10+ years’ experience as a Business Analyst, System Analyst, Product Owner, or Business Consultant
- Knowledge of capital markets regulatory oversight and market surveillance operations
- Expert in identifying, documenting, and managing of business and system requirements that may be cross functional and technically complex
- Expert in various system and business requirements artifacts (e.g. BRD, User Stories, Use Cases, Business Process Maps)
- Knowledge and hands on experience with BPM and UML concepts, techniques, tools and delivery approaches
- Knowledge and experience with business analysis methodologies and SDLC
- Understanding of enterprise architecture concepts
- Experience working in Agile and Waterfall environments
- Experience in working with external third-party solution providers
- Proficiency in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio
- Experience with Jira and Confluence
Nice to Have:
- Certified Business Analysis Professional (CBAP) certification is an asset
Specialization and Skills: Business Analysis Business Analyst > 10 years
