Job description: eSight is looking for a Sr. Director / VP of Finance to make a big impact. You will be the driver and enabler in the development of process, people and technology – ensuring financial information is readily available for management decision making, external reporting, and compliance. Your expert knowledge in financial related matters will maximize our efficiencies where depth and scope are relative to the growth of eSight.

About the Role:
You will be responsible for creating a financial plan as defined by the CEO and ultimately approved by the Board of Directors. You will own financial planning, accounting and forecasting across the organization and scale those functions as we grow. Your hands-on approach allows you to think quickly and to deliver strategically when it comes to directing financing strategies, forecasting and budget management. You have proven experience and working knowledge to be responsible for all aspects of accounting operations, sales tax planning, cross border transactions and to pursue non-dilutive financing and grants.
Your measure of success will include:
End-to-End Finance Strategy and Implementation
- Ensuring adherence to policies and procedures for AP and AR cycles.
- Implement and monitor financial controls across the organization
- Oversee general accounting procedures for IFRS reporting and transfer pricing.
- Review the accounting treatment for IFRS 15 financing income
Fundraising
- Engage with all internal stakeholders to produce financial models.
- Provide corporate and financial information including forecasts for diligence review.
- Pursuit of non-dilutive financing and grants
Sales Tax and VAT
- Advise on impact of changes in US tax landscape and general sales tax.
Cost Optimization/Financial Analysis
- Identify major spend items and establish departmental controls.
- Classify fixed and variable costs and develop a comprehensive cost-optimization strategy.
And keeping up with general reporting and ad-hoc finance which includes month-end reporting and payroll controls.
About you:
- 8-10 years of progressive experience in Corporate Finance and Management Accounting
- Qualified professional accountant (CPA, CA, CMA, CGA)
- Proven experience in fundraising or M&A.
- Previous experience dealing with cross border transactions at an international level
- Strong knowledge of IFRS.
- Knowledge of US and CAD payroll
- Experience managing a small team.
- A true self-starter at heart. You proactively identify opportunities for organizational improvement.
