About this Opportunity
This position is guaranteed 30hours per week, and is subject to lay off and reduce hours as per collective agreement.
This position must have experience with high volume purchases, and must be able to lift at least 30 kg as well as computer experience.
Job Summary
Under general supervision, receives, sorts, stores, redistributes and accounts for food, supplies and equipment within the Food Services Department.
Job Requirements
- Previous training and experience in food handling, stores control and storage procedures. Organizational ability.
- Working knowledge of personal hygiene standards and effective sanitation and housekeeping procedures in kitchen and dining room work.
- Ability to read and write English, work accurately with figures, keep routine records, and follow written and oral instructions.
- Good physical health for lifting and carrying heavy objects; must be prepared to take a medical examination.
- Ability to work cooperatively with others.
- Valid B.C. driver’s licence.
- Must be willing and able to work in locations as assigned and on shifts, including weekends, as required.
