Job Description

Position Summary:

Under the general supervision of the Operations Support Coordinator; is responsible for ensuring that all areas of the Division are supplied with the physical assets and services needed to respond to emergency situations.

Major Responsibilities: * Will assist with the operation of the warehouse including:

  • Stocking shelves,
  • Filing orders,
  • Taking stock,
  • Delivering supplies to bases and
  • General cleaning duties.
  • Perform other related duties as may be assigned.

Qualifications:

Education/Experience:

  • Must be a secondary school graduate or equivalent combination of training and experience.

Skills & Abilities:

  • Must be able to read, write & understand English.
  • Must be able to work with minimal supervision.
  • Must be highly motivated and work well in a team environment.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with other Civic Departments and suppliers.
  • Ability to deal with the public and staff in a courteous and tactful manner.
  • Must possess and maintain a valid Class “G” Ontario Drivers Licence, or equivalent
  • Must meet the definition of a competent driver as defined by the Corporation

Conditions of Employment:

  • Must remain a competent driver as defined by the Corporation
  • May be required to provide a successful driver’s abstract
