We currently have an opening for an Organizing Marketing Specialist to join our community outreach team over the summer.
As part of the team you’ll get to
- Build grassroots support for Dogwood campaigns in the community and online
- Recruit new volunteers
- Collaborate with other youth organizers and Dogwood staff
To be considered for this position, you need to:
- Demonstrate an understanding of Dogwood’s campaigns and commitment to the organization’s mission and values;
- be comfortable talking to people in person (in accordance with current public health guidelines), over the phone, and online using social media;
- be between 15 and 30 years of age at the start of the employment;
- be a Canadian citizen, permanent resident, or person to whom refugee protection has been conferred under the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act for the duration of the employment;
- have a valid Social Insurance Number at the start of employment and be legally entitled to work in Canada.
Other personal strengths, knowledge, lived experience, training or aptitudes in areas of organizing, campaigning, community-building, volunteer management, using Nationbuilder, Facebook, Instagram, Twitter or other or specialized technical/digital skills would be considered additional assets in this role and we encourage you to highlight them in your application.
