Some of what you will do
Reporting to the General Manager (GM) and working with the Reverse Logistics Manager (RL Manager), as the Supervisor you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the online eCommerce marketplace including assisting the RL Manager with all liquidation sales. You will supervise a team of specialists that are responsible for the preparation and grading of all product to ensure that all listings are as accurate as possible. You will be responsible for the supervising of repairing and selling of select merchandise through our online platforms.
Specifically, you will:
Provide coaching, guidance and support to a team of associates in the roles of Product Specialist.
Recruit, hire, manage, develop, evaluate performance and be accountable for the overall operational effectiveness of team.
Oversee and ensure all technology repairs and daily work achieves and maintains positive customer feedback, detailed selling rating (DSR) and the desired Bad Buyer Experience (BBE) score.
Under the direction of the GM and RL Manager review inventory stock and weekly sales goals and set schedule for priority items to be sold online. Move product to meet 33 day turnover.
Oversee all listings posted online are of high quality, accurate and professional.
Process sales and refunds as needed in a timely manner to ensure that customers receive refunds within 24 hours of a return. Investigate any returns that appear to be fraud and work with the various marketplaces to protect Staples assets.
Manage the listing schedule to ensure that there are enough quality listings to meet the needs of sales and to ensure that all similar product is not lumped.
Oversee all warranty work on technology items by tracking warranty work in ETS, will liaise with the Tech Depot to ensure that all repairs are done in a timely manner.
Work with the RL Manager to monitor the recovery rates on specific product to gage effectiveness and determine best sales channel for non-core product. Report to the RL Manager on recovery rates, sales and other key financial metrics.
Assist GM in driving key financial metrics including average selling price (ASP), recovery rate, comp sales and assists with the liquidation process.
Assist Customer Service team in the investigation of any customer service issues with products.
Partner with the GM to evaluate new product opportunities for our online markets.
Manage key relationships with key service vendors such as eBay, Shopify, Paypal and more.
Qualifications
Some of what you need
1-3 years of supervisory experience
3-4 years of progressively responsible technical
Post Secondary degree in applicable field or related work experience
A+ certification is an asset
Experience fixing issues on computers and other products is preferred
Experience in team leadership and team building is preferred.
Staples experience as a Resident Tech, Technology Consultant or Sr. eBay Specialist is preferred
Prior retail experience is an asset
Must have a good understanding of ecommerce and online marketplaces.
Strong technical skills and the ability to diagnose senior level technology issues
Strong PC skills (Word, Excel and Access)
