To be successful in this role you must:

  • 5-10 years of experience in technology management
  • Have experience in interacting with executive management as well as supervising project managers, business analysts internally and externally
  • Have experience in being able to adapt and operate in a fast moving organization and business unit that was historically underinvested in
  • Have a strategic mindset and drive to build and maintain alignment with the business unit, stakeholders and integrated business functions
  • Be comfortable working with business and technology leaders to define and prioritize technology concerns: delivery, performance, security and operations
  • Be able to provide technical leadership and technical consulting to internal business teams in order to ensure that time, risks, costs, quality and resources are balanced effectively, goals are being met and optimized

Key Responsibilities:

1. Be a leader and mentor

2. Responsible for overall direction, coordination, implementation, control and completion of specified projects and roadmap for SGL while ensuring consistency and alignment with Superior Plus’ strategy roadmap

3. Develop and maintain 3+ year technology roadmaps and maintain technology standards inventory with a lens of leveraging shared services

4. Develop, implement, align and evolve technology standards within business unit to meet business and technical needs

5. Full ownership for one or more processes, reports, procedures and products that is representative of the business unit’s IT function, both for operations and project delivery, in an ambiguous landscape

6. Coordinate with other teams and organizations with different operating structures – to ensure that the roadmaps are accurate, easy-to-understand and aligned with the organization and IT tower’s overall strategy, strengths, positioning and customer first posture

7. Build a highly performing, engaged, equitable, inclusive and diverse technology leadership team, this includes ensuring appropriate business unit staffing levels for both operations and project delivery

8. Drive and orchestrate software delivery and initiatives with operational excellence across the product lifecycle, including scope, schedule and resource management

9. Champion product ownership within the business unit, including a safeguard approach of ensuring the database, architecture and resources is fit for purpose

10. Partners with cross function peers to create, administer, track and eventually close project contracts

11. Develop a risk management plan to appropriately assess and respond to risk for the business unit, covering both operations and project delivery
