Position Description
The Finance Office of Transformation, Integrations and Global Business Operations is the engine that enables and empowers Finance Transformation for Salesforce. This team drives strategic alignment and prioritization across Finance and Salesforce, inclusive of the resources, capabilities and competencies necessary to execute on our Finance Transformation Vision. Through focused energy on global cross-functional alignment and execution across our teams, strategies for next generation technology, data & process innovation, and a service delivery model to drive stakeholder success across the globe, we align on a path forward that confidently enables capabilities and performance to support a $50B+ Salesforce.

As the Vice President, Finance Automation and ERP Cloud you will report directly to the EVP Finance and Chief Transformation Officer as the single business leader focused primarily on Cloud ERP. In this role, you will partner closely with the new Finance Chief Technology Officer, the Vice President Business Technology (“BT”), Finance and Risk Mgmt. the Finance Transformation Team, Finance functional leaders and our BT partners.

This role will require an ability to effectively partner across the organization, thrive in ambiguity, foresight to identify, understand and manage competing priorities, ability to say no professionally and earn/build trusted business advisor relationships across Finance, BT and Salesforce. Also critical will be your ability to exert your influence, develop and execute innovation strategies and leverage a strong leadership brand to provide direction to multidisciplinary project teams engaged on key company transformation programs.

Responsibilities

Act as the Business Owner, accountable for execution and delivery of the Cloud ERP implementation and development of an aligned roadmap for the Next Generation Architecture for Finance (e.g. all core finance processes and functions)

Partner with the Finance Chief Technology Officer and the Vice President Business Technology – Finance and Risk Management, to align and drive a technology strategy that enables growth and scale in line with the overall enterprise strategy while balancing organizational constraints and immediate business needs.

Act as the primary Finance contact for BT as it relates to the Cloud ERP implementation and Next Generation Architecture for Finance.

Strengthen the relationship with global BT, and across Finance functional leaders, to enable greater throughput and execution excellence of Finance Automation projects.

Forecast and fill resource skills and demand/capacity required to drive the execution of projects for the Finance Automation pillars.

Partner with Finance budget owners to proactively manage constraints across the portfolio and deliver prioritized initiatives.

Partner with your peers on the Finance Transformation team, to drive transformation success, including the Finance Strategic Portfolio, Change Management & Enablement, Value Realization, Communications, and Process.

Provide Executive Communications to stakeholders on relevant topics within the scope of your work in partnership and collaboration with the Finance Transformation Communication team.

Oversee, mentor and grow your supporting team.

Required Skills/Experience

Exceptionally strong communicator and influencer who is adept at partnering, influencing and aligning stakeholders at all levels cross-functionally within Finance and across large, global complex organizations.

Demonstrated ability to deliver and execute in a fast-paced matrixed global organization through collaboration and effective close working relationships.

Proven ability to think strategically about Finance Transformation initiatives and map strategy into a detailed plan for execution.

Self-starter who can effectively plan, design and program manage multiple new and complex structures and thrive in ambiguous environments

Team builder with management experience mentoring, developing, training, up-skilling, and coaching your staff

Successful track record with large scale cross-functional Finance transformation initiatives including ERP implementations, process improvement/automation, management consulting, or program management experience in the high tech industry (software/cloud preferred)

Education preferred in Finance, Accounting, Organizational Design, or other related fields – CPA, MBA, PMP and other related certifications are a plus

10-15 years experience in Business Transformation (consulting experience is a plus)
