Our client is a leading services provider in the gaming industry. They are currently looking for a VP of Finance to report to the CEO and provide consulting and strategic support to the executive team as well as hands-on execution of key processes.

About the Opportunity

  • Own the continuous management of cash flows, banking relationships and structures
  • Provide leadership in the continuous evaluation of short and long-term strategic financial objectives.
  • Ensure credibility of Finance group by providing analysis of budgets, financial trends, and forecasts.
  • Identify relevant new emerging trends with sufficient depth
  • Understand software license fee models, revenue share pricing structures, and gaming technology
  • Gather data and interpret market conditions; identify business opportunities and global trends in the gaming
  • Engage in business negotiations and provide feedback, and detailed status report updates
  • Support implementation plans, meeting milestones, action, and delivery dates
  • Analyze exponentially greater volumes of data
  • Embrace the power of social media, mobile users, and cloud computing
  • Tap into unlimited and ubiquitous connectivity
  • Adopt new metrics for operations and valuations
  • Direct and oversee all aspects of the Finance, Accounting and Taxation functions of the organization.
  • Evaluate and advise on the impact of long-range planning, introduction of new programs/ strategies and regulatory action.
  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with senior executives to identify their needs and seek full range of business solutions.
  • Provide executive management with advice on the financial implications of business activities.
  • Manage processes for financial forecasting, budgets and consolidation and reporting to the Company
  • Provide recommendations to strategically enhance financial performance and business opportunities.
  • Ensure that effective internal controls are in place and ensure compliance with applicable federal, province and local regulatory laws and rules for financial and tax reporting.

About You

  • CPA Designation
  • Experience working in small to mid-sized private companies (supporting an owner/manager)
  • Well-rounded accounting, FR, and analysis experience
  • Technology, Software Sector experience is a strong asset
  • Quickbooks knowledge is a strong asset

Salary Range

$150,000 – $175,000/year
