About The Role – 13893 – Coordinator – Warehouse and Distribution (Sudbury, ON)

Managing rail and truck shipping process in SAP and creating all regulatory documentation.

What you will be doing
SAFETY, HEALTH & ENVIRONMENT
Ensure that all operations performed in the Supply Chain meet both Orica’s SH&E objectives as well as the relevant statutory and regulatory requirements in all companies in which the business operates by:

  • Assist in Risk assessment of all manufacturing supply chain activities.
  • Assist in coordinating audits.
  • Participating in audits of contracted suppliers.
  • Assist in managing the manufacturing implementation of reported actions;
  • Assist in incident investigations

CUSTOMER SERVICE
Ensure outstanding level of customer service by:

  • Close liaison with transporter and end customer by monitoring deliveries and planned schedules
  • Weekly review of inventory levels of all storage points
  • Ensure that resolution of customer complaints in relation to distribution has been communicated to Team leader
  • All orders placed and expedited in an efficient manner to meet sales forecast

LOGISTICS
Management of logistics/distribution functions by:

  • Assist with management of transport contractors.
  • Assist inventory cycle counts.
  • Assist with day to day spare parts management
  • Assist with day to day spare parts management
  • Receiving material at the warehouse

COMMERCIAL OWNERSHIP

  • Inventory management
  • Raise purchase requisition’s for suppliers
  • Review all supplier invoices to ensure that they meet the purchase order value

WORKING TOGETHER
Provide support to the Team leader by:

  • Act as the primary contact for emergency situations in manufacturing
  • Assist with management of the magazine in manufacturing
  • Communication processes are in place.
  • Reviewing of Logistics invoices from service providers and ensure that they meet the quoted rates and that any abnormal charges are investigated and valid

What you will bring

  • At least a Grade 12 diploma or equivalent is required
  • Solid experience in logistics, distribution, and inventory control.
  • Experience working with the rail side of logistics.
  • Experience working in an ERP system (SAP or similar system)
  • Experience operating a forklift would be beneficial
  • A thorough understanding of the statutory/regulatory requirements.
  • Strong communication skills.
